H. Caleb Simmons is a writer, startup community organizer, and investor on the Board of Directors of the Columbia Angels Group in New York City, an organization looking to disrupt the traditional VC model by leveraging the collective resources and passion of the Columbia University alumni investor community. With a background in politics and government, Caleb is highly interested in impact investing and hopes to make a positive impact on the world. Caleb is highly interested in the economics of social movements and its effects of the progress of social justice in America, and seeks to make change in this area by working at the intersection of investment, business entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. He has appeared at Seton Hall University, Rutgers University, and the 224 Conference of Churches in Connecticut to speak on issues ranging from disruptive tech entrepreneurship, workplace diversity, and LGBT empowerment. His hobbies include cycling, fencing, poetry, swimming, and squash.
